The man you know, the journey you don’t

I met a guy once,

A guy who was different,

A guy with a hint Of softness,

Of madness,

He was fearless

But he was scared

Of what if he never loved?

Of what if he was never enough?

He knew how to live alone,

He knew how to wander,

But he wished for a home

With a family of his own.

He had his bad days

But no one knew

How difficult it was to live

With the darkness his breath drew.

The other guys knew him for his jokes,

And the girls for his charm

But no one ever knew

What chaotic battles he fought

To stay that calm.

To fit in the box of life,

He did suffer and strive,

To feel a glimpse of love,

He begged and he cried.

He asked for it

Through his eyes

But no one could see it.
